Should I attach the antenna and what does it do?

Yes, the antenna needs to be screwed on to communicate its data to the Alert Labs servers.
Most customers will only need the standard antenna that comes with our Flowie water sensor. However, we also offer an extension antenna for customers in areas with low cellular reception.

You do not need a cellular plan or WiFi.
