How does the Floodie companion sensor work?

The sensor is activated when water touches the two gold contacts on the bottom.

When it detects water, Floodie communicates with the orange Flowie water sensor which informs you via email, text message or mobile app notification of the presence of water. You will also be notified when/if the water clears.
