The temperature cable attaches to Floodie or Humie to remotely monitor temperature changes in critical or hard-to-reach areas, like on water pipes or inside commercial freezers and air ducts*. Prevent problems like pipe freezing or food spoilage with instant 24/7 alerts on your phone.
To use this accessory cable, you need a Floodie or Humie companion sensor and a cellular sensor (Flowie, Flowie-O, Sensor Relay, Sentree or Sumpie) on the property to send data to the Alert Labs Insights Dashboard.
*Floodie and Humie are not plenum rated. They should not be used inside any air handling space. To monitor temperature in ducts, the accessory temperature cable is required.
Installation is quick and easy:
- Find and remove the black stopper on the side of Floodie/Humie.
- Plug the cable into the open port.
- The 10ft cable and battery-operated Floodie/Humie help you monitor hard-to-reach areas.
The temperature cable is capable of operating between -40°C and +80°C (-40°F to 176°F) with a ±0.5°C accuracy. In sub-zero temperatures the accuracy is within ±2°C.
Remember to keep Humie dry. Humie will not work if it gets wet.
Will it work with my sensor?
Check the serial number on Floodie/Humie. If it begins with LH or later (LI, LJ, LK...) the sensor supports temperature reading and the accessory cable. If you have an older version, please contact our support team at hello@alertlabs.com.
How often does it update?
Temperature data is collected hourly and updated in the system every four (4) hours, unless there is an issue. If Floodie/Humie detects high/low temperature changes outside of your custom thresholds, it will alert you immediately. Depending on the sensor type, you can also receive flood alerts from Floodie or humidity alerts from Humie.
Where do I find the temperatures?
When you log into the Alert Labs Dashboard, click on the property you'd like to view. There will be a Temperature & Humidity summary tile, which will list the most recent temperature. Click the tile to view a historical data chart.
