What does that mean?
Alert Labs’ new and improved commercial analytics and alerts intelligently detect ongoing water leaks based on the characteristics of a property and you will get leak alerts that include the current leak rate as well as a forecasted impact. It helps you to identify and prioritize wasted water in order to reduce the cost of water bills.
To view the calibration status for each sensor, go to the Sensors tab. There you can see the Cal column with the current status. Calibrated devices will have a green checkmark.
As part of this release we will be ending all historical water events over the next several days, like Water Left Running. Going forward, you will see the new Ongoing Leak events instead.
Current Leak Rate
Alert Labs identifies the current ongoing leak rate in order to help you understand the severity of the problem as volume or cost per minute.
Leak Forecasts
Alert Labs calculates a forecasted volume/cost of an ongoing leak over the next month, quarter and year, enabling you to quickly prioritize and take action based on impact.
Leak Totals
Alert Labs calculates the total leak contribution of your water usage on the Water page to understand how much water has been wasted since the leak was detected.
Leak Threshold
Within Settings > Event Definitions, you are now able to set the leak rate threshold for alerts in your preferred units per minute. We will notify you if a detected leak is above the set threshold. For now, this is a global setting that will apply to all properties on an account. In the future we will be implementing the ability to set thresholds on a per property basis.
