Do I need a Flowie-O extension cable?

For installations in hard-to-reach locations, like deep outdoor pits or mechanical rooms, the Flowie-O Extension Cable connects Flowie-O to the meter and maximizes the communication strength of Flowie-O to the Sensor Relay.

Less than ideal environmental factors can limit the connection range of your Flowie-O. Some situations that may warrant the use of an extension cable are:

Indoor water meters...

• located in inaccessible areas
• that have limited space to fit the Flowie-O head
• need to be closer to where the relay is installed 

Outdoor water meter pits...

• more than 300 ft away from the sensor relay
• that are deep and / or tight on space
• that have metal lids
• surrounded by thick concrete 
• that have standing water or are regularly flooded
